Mega Weekend

Last weekend was a mega weekend in the life and history of our church. We launched two campuses – one in Collierville and the other in Jackson, TN.

Our Collierville campus was a miracle that came our way at the end of 2009. It has 35 acres of buildable land with a first phase 28,000 square foot building. We closed on the property in January and just 3 weeks later had our first weekend there. We started with 2 Sunday services and had over 1100 people. Incredible.

Jackson was amazing as well. We adopted this campus in the summer of 2009 and this weekend launched with 178 people. It’s about an hour away from our other campuses. This weekend was a great beginning to all that God has called us to do there.

I’m so thankful for all that God has done, is doing and will do! Leslie and I are so grateful for all of you that worked hard to open the doors to these new campuses. Check out some pics from the weekend below.

Countdown

We’re only a few days away from opening our new Collierville campus. Thought you would enjoy a few pics. The auditorium stage is amazing and the Axis auditorium (still rough in the pic) will be soooo cool. I know we’re going to touch generations from that space. I’m a huge fan of the lobby with its massive windows. Love the bright flow for sure. It’s all so exciting. Don’t forget new service times this weekend:

Collierville: Sunday at 9:00a and 11:00a

Cordova: Saturday at 5:00p and Sunday at 10:00a and 11:45a

Jackson: Sunday at 10:30a

Leslie and I are so incredibly thankful to our amazing team working hard-core to get both Collierville and Jackson campuses ready for this mega wknd.

Collierville Campus Update!

Hey this is Adam Bartlett! I am really excited about all that is going on at our new Collierville Campus. We have only been in the new building for one week and already we have made great progress. Throughout the next few weeks we’ll be posting updates here on the blog so check back often.

Here is a brief summary of the progress that we made last week outside of lots of general cleaning:

  • There were two existing rear projection screens that we took down. Then we framed in the walls where those screens were and are getting ready to put up three front projection screens, just like in Cordova.
  • The media team already have three new projectors in place and the cable is run!
  • We lowered all of the existing speakers, including the subs, and are completely changing the layout of the speakers.
  • We also lowered all of the existing theatrical lights for maintenance and will reposition them this week.
  • A lot of work was completed outside in the woods behind the waterfall (yes, there is a waterfall!), picking up limbs and raking.
  • Thanks to one of our facility team members, Dwayne Hawkins (Hawk Electric), we were able to get all of the exterior parking lot lights and two big flood lights working. The building looks amazing at night!
  • We are completely transforming the new Axis Auditorium and started by completely gutting this room. I believe that this room is the room that is going to see the most transformation and am really excited to see how it’s going to turn out.

Tuesday night, January 26th, we’ll be having a work night at the new campus from       6-9p and would love for you to help. Continue to check out the blog for more updates to come!
