Remember that 80s song, who was it? Oh, yeah, the big hair 80s rock group called Europe. Anyway, we’re on the final countdown to our 2008 Miracle Offering. We’ve been talking about it, praying about it, fasting about it. Now it’s here.
I’ve been praying a real simple prayer - “God speak to us and let us hear and obey.” It pretty much boils down to that. I’m so thankful for our church. We’re not just a big crowd of people, but an army of sold-out, fired up, serve like crazy, praying, fasting generous people. Leslie and I are so thankful to be a part of such an awesome church.

Wide Open was fun last night. Great worship from the AXIS band and just a really great spirit in the room. I love packing out the youth center with charged up, hungry leaders. The worship is always so awesome because its the core baby! Taught on thinking big and believing big and focused on why our church must NEVER stop growing.
We’re on the countdown to our mighty miracle offering this coming weekend. I must admit that I’m a little on edge about it, trying to release it to God. Can’t help but feeling the weight of how significant this miracle offering is for the Kingdom. Remembering Philippians 4:6-7 is a help. Please press in a little extra in prayer all this week for this coming weekend’s miracle offering. Got to come strong!
Leslie and I are headed to Nashvegas today with some great friends, Dino and DeLynn Rizzo, Nick and Chris Caine, David Meyer. Headed to shout for our great friend Kevin Mawae as he battles on Monday Night Football against the Colts. Kevin and his wife Tracy have become friends. He’s a super fired up Christian and an incredible all-pro center for the Titans. Titans are only undefeated team. Looking forward to a great game.
Can’t believe I went to bed at 9:30p. Man, it felt good. Woke up this morning to an amazing day in Memphis. This weather is unbelievable. Got to pull for the LSU Tigers today against Georgia.
Leslie is driving back right now from BR. Can’t wait to see her. My Mom is coming in town. Gonna be a great weekend.
Got a great word from God. Ready for awesome church this weekend. Let me shamelessly promote Saturday night right now…If you’ve never been to a Saturday Night service, come check it out tonight. We had our largest Saturday night last weekend. It was awesome.

I love Fridays. Hard to believe the weekend is here again. Woke up early and was in full seek/study mode by 5a. Incredible to have a few quiet hours before waking the kids and the morning madness begins!
Stirred in my heart about my message this weekend. Been loving the MIRACLES series. This weekend we’re going to talk about miracle provision. No doubt our God is a miracle provider. Tons of amazing stories in the Bible about miracle provision. I’m going to focus on two cool ones. One this weekend and one next weekend as we close out the series. Really wanting to build everyone’s faith for the miracle offering next weekend.
Also, jammed on my word for Wide Open. I love our Wide Open Leadership Nights. They’re super-cool, super-charged leadership experiences. We always have a ball. Don’t miss it this Sun night. Got a word.
Pray for me and the team as we meet with our bank today at 1p. Laying the foundation for the expansion. Need favor from these guys big time. If you read this after 1p on Friday, thats OK. We’re putting our proposal forward today and sometimes the approval process takes a few weeks. Favor!

Man, that sounds good right now.
Talking about my day. Meetings all day long. From 9a to 5p. Full on. I’m more excited than ever about the future of The Life Church. Half of those meetings involved long-term planning. The church has grown so much in the last year, we’ve been running to catch up. We came up with some awesome new thoughts of how to better structure our two campuses for future growth and impact. Also, game-planning the structure so we can add new campuses to the network. Awesome stuff. Also, we’ve been looking hard into bringing a Children’s Pastor into the mix since we sent Greg and Kristin to Swazi. I think we landed on a breakthrough thought today. Got to marinate it in prayer, but I think its the ticket. Thank you Jesus.
Just getting home. The wifey-pooh is at HPC’s Women’s Conference for two days. Doing Mr. Mom for a few days. Thats always fun. Thank God we have such awesome kiddos.
Not much of a fasting devo today. But have been thinking about the “three chord” power play that Jesus talked about in Matthew 6 - “…when you give…when you pray…when you fast…” Got all three going on in church life right now. Packing that three-fold power punch as we get ready for our mighty miracle offering!
