I’m still trying to absorb all that I experienced in Papua New Guinea. It’s hard to put into words, but they say a picture is worth a thousand words so I thought I would post my favorite picture. Its not the best, I took it with my blackberry. This man had just given his life to Jesus and was so proud of the book he had just been given.
I told Leslie that I feel like the trip might be one of the most fruitful international mission trips for me. I say that because of the response and hunger of the pastors/leaders, and because of the numbers of people who heard the gospel for the first time and gave their lives to Jesus.
It was great to be with new friends and old ones and bring the great message of God’s love, acceptance and forgiveness. Joyce Meyer and her team are amazing. In addition to leadership conferences in the mornings with pastors and evening crusade services, they did so much across the nation:
• Outreach teams visited every prison in the country and held services and every prisoner received a book and hygiene kit.
• Medical and Dental teams set up clinics all around the country. They went to the worst areas and helped hurting people. The numbers of people they helped are amazing. And they treated everyone with such first class love.
• Over 2 million books were given to people.
There’s more…In fact, you can check out joycemeyer.org to get more details.
It was an awesome trip. It’s great to be home. Thanks for praying for us!
