We had an unbelievable weekend in church. Services were packed out and Anthony Evans led us in some amazing worship.
Don’t miss our Celebration of Diversity service tonight at our Cordova Campus at 7p! We’ve got some special things planned in the service as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It’s going to be a great night, Anthony Evans and his team will be doing some special songs and we’re rolling out the choir tonight with robes and all…okay maybe no robes!
See ya tonight!

Pastor John,
Once again, you’ve demonstrated that what I believe can only be a vision given to you from God. The Diversity program was wonderful. I’m am so glad that in this diversity program and others, you have chosen to highlight how Dr. King’s dream is ever-present in our church. A couple of things you said showed me that you really got it and was not just saying things to make people feel good. You said that racism was evil and a sin. Do you know that many pastors still won’t say that? I know without a doubt that this is true. It is so sad and hurtful as I fellowship with people of other races on my job and in my neighborhood that profess Christ, but I can see that “race” supercedes any Christianity that they have. They don’t even want to admit that still today it rears its ugly head on a daily basis, even when it is shown on television where a person of a particular race is shot and killed on the ground in handcuffs or unarmed and shot at 50 times and killed. Yes, injustice still exists. Even when we have reared our children to be decent and law abiding citizens, they still suffer unwarranted injustices. I believe there will be some great suprises when these people stand before their Maker. Didn’t God say in 1st John, “How can you love Me, whom you haven’t seen and don’t love your brother whom you have seen? Didn’t God say that these people were liars? Didn’t He also say that no liars would enter into His Kingdom? I believe that this life is a test. You either pass or fail. I believe that God made us different colors and shades just to see if we would love our brother or sister. The central theme of God’s message is love and many of us are missing it. If it wasn’t for the Holy Spirit within me, I could not continue to stand up under the weight of hurt and injustices that I see every day. When my brother/sister hurt, I hurt and there is still a lot of hurting going on. I just want to thank you for heeding to God’s Vision. I pray your continued strength in the Lord and all the members of The Life Church that share your vision and are working along side of you. God bless you.
What an awesome service! I’m so thrilled that I get to be apart of what’s happening @ The Life Church! Thanks so much for everything Pastor John!
The Celebration of Diversity was major, I loved it. Thanks so much Pastor John for your leadership. Lets make some noise in Memphis
