Incredible weekend at The Life Church. Axis/Spin had an amazing Fall retreat. Popped in on Friday night and it was incredible to see all those students passionately engaged in worship and receiving the word. Also, another incredible weekend of people crossing the line of faith and giving their lives to Jesus. I think we had 76 fresh starts this weekend in just the adult services. Pretty cool. 

We received our miracle offering in the midst of overflowing crowds in all three Sunday morning services in Cordova. We definitely had room in Collierville and on Saturday night in Cordova. I’m guessing some people were enjoying their last full Saturday before falling back (time change), but it was a great service and I’m hoping people check into the new Saturday Night Service in the next few weeks. 

Still waiting on Miracle Offering totals. We probably won’t announce the total for several weeks. The last few years, because people were out of town, etc. the offering kept coming in. I’ll let you know.

This week I want to do some blogging about transition. Right here at the end of the year is always an exciting time of tweaking and changing for church. We look at what is working, what isn’t working, what needs to change, etc. Because we’ve grown so much and added new services, we’ve got quite some adjusting to do. 

Growth always puts an extra demand on everything. But its a good demand. I love this time of year, rolling up our sleeves and putting some changes into place. Usually going into the fall in mid-August I’m already totally aware of some tweaks that need to be made, but because that time from mid-August to early November is such a growth, vision, reaching forward season, there is no time to sit down and look at everything in detail. Ahhh, but now that we hit a slow season for several weeks, I can get my hands dirty and fix some things and make some adjustments. It will be fun. Anyway, I’m going to throw some thoughts out about it this week.
