Back to some of the ch-ch-changes. As I mentioned a post ago I’m throwing out some of the tweaks we’re making in church right here at the end of the year. Exciting times. Growth brings demand, so we’re tweaking. Here goes.

One of the first things is getting a better structure to take care of and support each campus. I think this starts with designating pastors who take care of a particular campus. In our case right now, Cordova and Collierville. Point pastors that can provide focused leadership and pastoral care. We’ve never had that in Collierville and we desperately need it right now. Also, in Cordova, that campus has grown so much that we need a better structure to take care of the leadership and pastoral care. So, that’s coming soon - Campus Pastors. Fired up about the names that are being floated for those positions. 

We’re also going to do something totally new and establish what we’re calling “Service Pastors” for each of our 5 weekend services, and for Axis and Spin. These will be strong, committed people who will provide a visible “front line” representation and extension of the pastoral care of our church - meeting people, working with the prayer team, and connecting people to church life in a given service(s). I am SUPER fired up about this idea. I think it will be massive for our growing church. Also totally pumped about that working list of people. They’re super stars in the church, leading and loving people, etc.
