We served hundreds of people lunch and dinner yesterday. I know people will be heading back today and tomorrow. We’ll still be in serve and relief mode today and then we’ll re-evaluate for tomorrow. Thanks to our super-amazing volunteers who keep things rolling forward!
Here are a few more deets…
Donations – so many people continue to bring items for the evacuees! It’s great to be able to send them on their way with much needed supplies like baby formula, toothbrushes/toothpaste and bottled water.
Meal Donations – lead up by Clay Carson, our volunteers have secured free or discounted meals for us to serve from places like Jim ‘N Nick’s, Schnucks, Macaroni Grill, KFC, Chili’s, Lenny’s, Olive Garden, and Starbucks. We started with lunch yesterday and having been ahead ever since.
Meal Times – we will be serving dinner tonight at the church at 6p.

Pastor John,
I would like to thank you and your church for the love and hospitality that was shown to my family while we were in Memphis. In the Sunday service you said something that stuck with me: “it’s time to be the church”. We saw that happen and it was a beautiful thing. We met so many kind people and were blessed by the meals served to us. We are now safe back home and we have brought back with us a slice of Life Church culture we intend to share.
Thanks
