Vegas

Never been to Vegas before. Pretty wild place. We had an amazing roundtable with some great pastors around the country. Hung out with some great life long friends: Dino Rizzo (Baton Rouge, LA), Stovall Weems (Jacksonville, FL), Chris Hodges (Birmingham, AL), Rick Bezet (Conway, AR), Greg Surratt (Mt. Pleasant, SC), Craig Groeschel (Oklahoma City, OK), Brian Houston (Sydney, Australia), Gary Clarke (London, England), Joe Champion (Round Rock, TX), Steve Robinson (Mandeville, LA) and Jacob Aranza (Broussard, Louisiana). Also got to make some new friends with some incredible guys: Bobby Gruenewald (Oklahoma City, OK), Jud Wilhite (Las Vegas, NV), Bil Cornelius (Corpus Christi, TX), Todd Mullins (West Palm Beach, FL), Darrin Patrick (St. Louis, MO), Darren Kitto (Sydney Australia), Perry Noble (Anderson, SC) and Rusty Nelson (Huntsville, AL).

Pretty awesome day. We do this at least twice a year and it really keeps me fresh and focused and connected. Dino started the day talking about the danger of isolation. How easy it is to just get focused on your own thing and get isolated and disconnected. And its the enemy’s plan to isolate us and get us all alone. Its just stupid. Not just for pastors but all of us. We all need good friends in our life. Here’s what the Bible says, Proverbs 18:1 - A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment. Pastor Brian Houston poured into us all day. It was stratospheric (my new word : ) Headed to LA. Say a prayer or two for me as I preach tonight at the LA Dream Center.
