We’ve been focusing on the 2nd story of the Bible. It’s the Tree of Knowledge vs. The Tree of Life. Unfortunately, in Adam and Eve’s life, the Tree of Knowledge won. It doesn’t have to be that way with us. The question is, “How do you know if you’re in the right tree?” Here are some symptoms of Tree of Knowledge living…
Victimization – they started to blame. Adam blamed Eve. Eve blamed the snake. If you’re living in The Tree of Knowledge, a real typical response to your own problems is to blame someone or something. Its misplaced responsibility, and when you do it, you end up empowering the very thing you are blaming.
The need to cover up – they sewed those fig leaves to cover themselves up. When God came around, they hid among the trees in the garden. We could do a whole week on this subject. All too often, we don’t live in the light. We’re too afraid to be honest about the things we’re dealing with in our life.
A judgmental, critical attitude – toward yourself, toward other people. It’s the same attitude the Pharisees had. Super religious. Condescending. No grace. No freedom. Taking themselves way too serious.

All of us go through seasons of our life when we experiences being a victim or being judge or judging others or ourselves. We are all in need of a second chance. God grant me the serenity to accept those things I cannot change ( people, places & things ) and courage to change the things I can( which is myself) and the wisdom to know the difference.
