We had an incredible two day Men’s Conference last weekend at the church. It was really cool to see the place buzzing with a bunch of MEN. We had an incredible time bonding together as we worshiped, ate, laughed, crowned the “King of the Wing” (Go José) and watched Pastor John pump some iron.
A big shout-out to all the ladies that served and to our guest speaker Pastor Joe Champion, for bringing three strong, timely messages. We left challenged, encouraged, and empowered to be the men (the Benjamin’s) that God has called us to be. If you were unable to make the conference or missed a few of the sessions, we have them available for sale on CD and DVD at our Resource Center.

Wing Kong defeats Latino Heat in the 1st Annual King of Wing Hot Wing contest!!
Yep, Pastor Mundo went down and I believe I have a free car wash coming from you (ha ha).
Although I won the King of the Wing I just want to let everyone know that there is a price to pay for being the champ and boy did I pay BIG.
Put it like this, Wing Kong had to sleep on the couch because there was something moving on the inside of me and it wasn’t the holy ghost.
Man those wings were so hot that my socks were wet, and that’s not normal. They were so hot that when I put my glasses on they kept on getting fogged up. I don’t know what’s worse, having sweaty socks or being blind.
And oh yeah, the cup of Starbuck’s coffee that I had was like a flavored laxative. NOT GOOD!!!
I would like to thank Michael for the “Atomic” wings you wrong bro!!! And I would like to send a shout out to Aimee and Pastor Leslie who knew I was going to win. I mean c’mon I keep a bottle of hot sauce in my car just in case I come across some dry chicken.
Thank you for the Tiger’s jersey in which I couldn’t wear. I haven’t been that size since the 5th grade. So I sold it after the conference and I did put in my tithes and the rest of the money was well spent on supplies such as tums, toilet paper, sprite, wet-wipes, matches & scented candles, two magazines, latex gloves, surgeons mask and a picture of my family, (with all that stuff in the bathroom wasn’t sure if I was ever gonna come out alive so I had a picture of my family with me cause I didn’t know if this was going to be the last time or not.)
All in all the event and the conference were off the chain, cause doing the conference there were chains being broke off of me and I was set free. It was really cool to see my leaders at the altar with me, you guys are the best and it was good to see that I wasn’t alone. To all of the men who put on the name of Benjamin, let’s make this the best year of our lives.
