Just looking at the registrations for Make Room. I’m pretty blown away and fired up. We’ve got pastors and leaders coming from at least seven different states - Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas. God gave us the thought to host this conference because of all the calls we get about our church, how we’ve grown, how we do things, etc. This morning I was praying for the conference and God reminded me of a word that Pastor Don Matheny’s mother gave Leslie and I before we moved from Nairobi to Memphis to plant The Life Church. The Kenyans called her “Mama” and so that’s what we always called her. She is an incredibly Godly woman who has an awesome ministry to pastors and leaders in East Africa. She laid hands on us and spoke a word that we would not only have impact in Memphis, but we would have a regional impact on pastors and leaders in this whole area. What a word. That’s one of those you file away and watch and pray. God reminded me of it this morning.
