We keep getting awesome reports from Saturday’s Servolution. Our team that went into Collierville handed out $5 Starbucks cards and had the opportunity to have some great interactions with people in that area. Our volunteers said the best part was seeing people’s reaction (total shock) when we offered them something completely for free–no strings attached. One lady even hugged the volunteer that handed it to her! Now that’s what I call being a blessing–a grande, two-pump white mocha…for free!

It’s so amazing when people from all over the community come together to make a difference. We had a couple cool donations that were a real blessing. One man donated over $200 worth of over-the-counter medicine out of his personal funds to be given out as a part of our medical outreach and Abbot Nutrition donated 10 cases of Ensure nutrition drinks to hand out at our Hollywood outreach. It’s so incredible to be able to be a part of making a tangible difference in the place we live…what better picture of Christ’s love than to simply be a blessing in people’s everyday lives?!
