Wanted to give a quick shout out to my two heroes this week – Michael and BJ…our youth pastors. We keep breaking attendance records in AXIS on Wednesday nights and SPIN on Sundays. Last night was another one. I always dreamed of church life with hundreds of young people buzzing around everywhere. In just the last season, we’ve stepped into that. A bunch of people have worked hard toward that end, but these two fellas (under Dansky’s lead) have been pushing it forward. They both have other responsibilities at church as well. BJ takes point on our internship program called Damascus Road (thats where Mundo shot this pic), and Michael has been my right-hand-man, taking care of me for years. Mike is my man. Just last week Pastor Don and Amy Matheny were in town and Michael was taking care of them and Pastor Don said, “Man, I wouldn’t go anywhere without Michael!” I said, “I know, but he’s in youth pastor mode now. I’ve got to give him some space.” Anyway, these two guys are my heroes. I love being around young men with such a huge heart for God and the church! Now, we’re reaching for thousands of young people buzzing around everywhere!
