Just an FYI that we’ve started our Fresh Start counter for 2007. I wrote a long post a few months ago about how we handle the salvation call at the end of our services. We’re only 23 days into the new year and we’ve already seen 118 people give their lives to Christ for the first time or re-dedicate in one of our services. I’m still kind of blown away by these numbers. And its not as if the salvation call is unclear or watered down. We make a clear call to surrender your life and commit to Christ, turning away from sin, making things right with God, re-dedicating because you’re not where you should be, etc. I’ve been amazed but at the same time, we’ve prayed and fasted for years that God would bring a harvest. Lately, I’ve been convicted that I shouldn’t be so “amazed” and “blown away” but really just keep that humble expectation that God can and will do what He says He’s going to do.

Our challenge now is making sure we’re doing all we can to see these people get planted and connected in church.
