We’re getting geared up for a great Sunday. The Life Church is celebrating 10 years. I can hardly believe that we’re 10 years old. For the last several weeks we’ve been watching videos of different people who connected into the church at different times. This last weekend we went all the way back to the beginning. It was cool. Don Matheny, who is mine and Leslie’s pastor, and the founder and Senior Pastor of Nairobi Lighthouse Church, is going to speak in both services. We’ll be eating anniversary cake, watching videos, and looking at pictures from the last 10 years. Friends from around the world have sent happy anniversary greetings via video that we’re going to show. That will be fun. I haven’t seen them yet so it will be a fun surprise.
At the end of the service we’re going to receive our Miracle Offering. It’s something we’ve been talking about, believing God for, etc. All in all, I think its going to be a great day. Hope you can make it.
Hi Pastor John! We wish we could be there to celebrate the 10 year anniversary with you guys!!! I hope we can catch some of those “early years” video clips and photos online somehow. We miss you guys and think of you often! Our best to Leslie and the kids, too!! Erick & Kate
Wow! What an awesome day it was yesterday. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years.
It was so special having Pastor Don there with us. I wish “Mom” (Mrs. Amy) could have been there too.
We SO love you guys and are always amazed that God has called us to be a part of such an awesome thing as building His church. And the best part is getting to do it with our friends.
God has done above and beyond what we could ever ask or imagine in these past 10 years and we’re looking forward to being amazed these next 10 years.
