Saturday was our 3rd Kingdom Builders lunch at Lulu Grille in East Memphis. Kingdom Builders is a group made up of people in our church who feel called to build the local church through the financial resources He has blessed them with. This is a Biblical Gift (Romans 12:8). Even Jesus had “Kingdom Builders” who traveled with him to meet the needs.

Luke 8:1-3 – “Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities – Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.”

It’s always a great time when we meet together. We talk about what God’s doing in our lives as individuals, I share a message on finances from a Kingdom perspective and then we get an update on the $500 dollars that we are “redeeming” for the Kingdom. I’ve got to tell you about that because its really been a cool thing…At our first ever meeting in May, I taught from Matthew 25 about multiplication and increase and then I pulled out five $100 dollar bills and told everyone that we were going to give them a fresh start in life, that they had been misused and abused, held onto too tightly, given away too freely, used for the wrong purposes, etc. So, I gave them to John Dobbins with the idea that he needed to invest them, multiply them and earn more that can be used for the purposes of God. And we’re going to keep passing it on until the Miracle Offering on November 5. Well John Dobbins invested in garden trellises and sold them on Ebay and brought $1000 back at the second meeting. He doubled the money! So, I divided the money and gave $500 to both Gwen Nicholson and Peter Ulsteen. This past Saturday they returned a total of $1500 after pooling their resources and working together in options trading. So, already we’ve seen $1000 generated. After reading their story, I passed $500 each to Heather Goff, Jon Cross, and Mark & Julie Van Blaricom and I’m sure they’re already busy thinking of how they can multiply it before our next meeting on October 21.
