Amsterdam - Jet Lag

After taking off from Detroit on Wednesday night, we landed in Amsterdam around 3:30a. Amsterdam is my usual stopping over point in Europe (because of Northwest and KLM) and taking 24 hours here to get the time difference straight usually means I can hit the ground running in Africa. Although I’ve done this a thousand times and have my little system down pat, it’s still tough to push through jet lag and get into a new time zone. I just woke up when everyone else is getting into bed. Its 5a here and 10p (the night before) at home. My day flight to Nairobi leaves in 5 hours. See you in Nairobi!

PS – I heard the One Way night was awesome. I’m bummed I missed it. Mark (my 5 year-old son), told me all about it on the phone!

like i said on don’s blog, i’m crazy jealous of you, but at least i do get to go to swaziland in a couple weeks. too bad you’re not coming back through southern africa. next time you go maybe….

have a great trip, my friend. love the pics in the later posts - the pork deficiency shot especially. maybe a visit to the carnivore would help?
